Go Gulfport

rooted. resilient. reinvigorated.

a Nehemiah Project

Gulfport, Mississippi

For the past several years, Sacred Roots has been developing relationships, exchanging best practices and encouraging community organizing in the Gulfport, Mississippi. Our hope is to see historic neighborhoods like Soria City and Broadmoor build on its potential to be wonderful places to live, work, and play, with health disparties being addressed and socioeconomic realities being impacted as a result.

Go Gulfport is a trauma-informed community engagement, education, and advcacy effort. Our work takes on many forms based on the community needs, such as community bike rides, neighborhood pop-up events, community forums, and more. We are grateful for a robust and growing lineup of partners in the Mississippi Gulf Coast region who are a part of this important work.

One of our key partners around trauma-informed reinvestment is Gillum-Young, Robinson + Harris and the Gulfport Gaslight District. Click below to learn more about this project that Go Gulfport has partnered up with to provide trauma-informed community engagement supports.
